Find your hour
Where the daily hour on the chart comes from, and how to find it on your phone today.
The last lesson asked for hours in front of a chart.
The first objection is always the same: there is no hour available. There usually is.
You already have the hour
Almost nobody needs to create time for this. The hour exists and is already being spent.
It goes to a screen, in small pieces, across a day. That is why it is invisible when you look for it.
You are not finding an hour. You are moving one.
Your phone will tell you where it went
Every phone keeps a screen time report: how long you spent in each app, day by day.
Open it and read the list. Look at the social apps in particular, and read the daily average next to each one.
The number is measured, not remembered, which is why it is uncomfortable.
If one app is near an hour
If a single app sits close to an hour a day, the search is over. That is your hour.
Delete the app and give that hour to this course. It is the same hour either way. Only the destination changes.
One app usually holds the whole hour.
Do this now
Open the screen time report on your phone and read the daily average next to each app. Find the worst one and write down its name and its number.
If it is close to an hour, that is your hour. Delete the app today and the hour moves to the chart.
Which app takes the most of your day, and how long?
