Check In

Check InLeçon 2 sur 34 min de lecture

Nobody finishes profitable

The honest expectation for the end of a course, the small share of people who come out of one profitable, and what actually decides it.

The second half of a check in is expectations. Wrong expectations are what make people quit, so they are worth setting straight now.

The share is small

Take a large group of people starting a course like this on the same day. Twenty thousand of them.

The number who come out of it trading profitably is closer to one hundred than to one thousand. That is the honest proportion, and it holds across free courses, paid ones and self teaching.

Most people who start do not end up profitable.

Do not assume you are one of them

Reading that number, the natural reaction is to assume you are in the small group. Everyone assumes that, which is exactly why the number stays small.
