Individuality

IndividualityLesson 4 of 44 min read

A day as yourself

Why holding your own opinion in a room is the same skill as holding a position, and the one day exercise that tests it.

The rest of this module was about not copying someone else's method. This lesson is about not copying someone else's life, and about the exercise that comes out of it.

Copying an outcome

Wanting someone's exact life is copying an outcome. The country, the car, the dog, the way the day looks in a video.

None of that tells you what you want. It tells you what looked good when someone else showed it to you. Decide what you actually want out of this, in your own terms, and the goals you wrote in module 5 are where that goes.

Pick your own outcome, not a picture of somebody else's.

The clothes example

Think of something you wore because you liked it. Two people made a comment about it, and you stopped wearing it.
